1. watched breakfast for tiffany’s during electric guitar. OH. MY. GOODNESS. EPITOME OF ADORABLE ROMANCE. was next to stephkoay, she the classic movie veteran humming along to moon river when it played and me the noob who squealed whenever a cute scene/cat scene came on. somehow audrey hepburn’s role reminded me A LOT of my grandma. extremely money-minded, and immensely pretty (: with a penchant for flashy and tacky fashion.
2. speaking of grandma, gong gong and nainai flew off to melbourne to meet jiujiu and family and spend a month over there, and according to my parents they were bouncing like happy kids in the car on the way to the airport. ahh <3 take care gonggong and nainai!
3. had seen the ad for “forgotten few” on channel news asia while at the radiology imaging centre on thursday and was quite bent on watching it, so i did. though it was slanting slightly too much toward historical information regurgitation for my taste, i really loved the interviews with the survivors of the war. amidst the interviewees’ tanned and freckling skin, irises bluing at the rims, shrivelled lips that were pulled back, there was an intense fervour and pride in their soft voices as they spoke of how they pulled their vastly different ways through the singular, same war, then with a hint of sad resignation how the younger generation doesn’t believe the extent of their suffering during the war (“they wouldn’t believe how bad I was beaten“) and how the children of today feel no sense of belonging to their land. sigh, today’s 草莓组.

2. although the ughness was discounted today because laoshi was telling us the meaning of 浓厚 (or 浓something, i can’t remember) when she recounted how she was teaching a bunch of p3 kids on thursday when the 乌云 became 浓something and the sky had the darkness equivalent of night, and the kids were running around the classroom screaming “世界末日！世界末日!” before dashing out of the classroom and screaming “世界末日！世界末日！” and laoshi had to herd them back into class again and appease their excitement for the apocalypse.
3.  cell group over at my house = A. LOT. OF. FOOD. (6 PACKETS OF HORFUN AND 2 PIZZAS YAY) ajhghuhjelkjh nom.
4.  …i realise my blog’s filled with random references to food and how i eat food. meh.
5. after cg, watched xmen: first class again ohhhhhhhhhhhh such a fantastic movie, great cinematography, brilliant linkage to the series. yessss i don’t mind watching it again.
6. my family had forgotten my brother’s birthday (himself included in ‘family’) even though they had forgotten mine two months ago. >: until our helper aunty nubaya wished him and he was like “…OH IT’S MY BIRTHDAY OHHHH I FORGOT.”
